Class description
During these workshops, Piotr Perski, an in-house tutor and artist, places emphasis on the art of capturing light through painting. The workshops explore the color of light by employing techniques such as transparencies, layering, and incorporating various background colored papers. Participants learn to create a unique expression of light within their paintings using watercolors and white acrylic on paper. The subject matter for their artwork can range from still life to life models and photography.

Teacher, Painting and Drawing
Piotr Perski is a Polish painter, settled in Barcelona since 1998. In Barcelona he shows mainly at Galería Jordi Barnadas and Sala Parés.
He holds a BA Fine Art (Adam Mickiewicz, Poznan), an MA Fine Art (Academy of Fine Arts in Lodz) and a PhD, Fine Arts (University of Barcelona).

Students who take the short courses option will be provided with a working space and storage to use throughout their stay on the Metàfora Studio Arts program.
This workshop is open to all full-time students on the Studio Arts Program. Depending on availability, it is also available as a Pick and Choose workshop.
