ABOUT THE METÀFORA STUDIO ARTS PROGRAM

Metàfora is an independent, multidisciplinary art school situated in Barcelona. Our adaptable 3-year Studio Arts Program operates in Blocks, commencing multiple times throughout the year. Prospective students have the opportunity to enroll in the course for durations ranging from a few weeks to a maximum of 3 years.

Distinguished for its international character, Metàfora conducts all art classes and workshops in English. Each full-time student is provided with a dedicated studio space within a historical complex in the heart of Barcelona. Our faculty comprises esteemed practicing artists who exhibit actively both locally and on the global stage. Explore the artists we collaborate with to gain insight into our vibrant community.

The Studio Arts Program at Metàfora emphasizes hands-on engagement with various materials, offering a diverse array of classes encompassing different tools and techniques. From clay sculpting and welding to screen printing, installation, performance, and weekly life drawing sessions, our curriculum is rich and varied.
