Academic Drawing and Painting
Class description
Join this workshop focusing on still life and portraiture in drawing and acrylic painting led by Piotr Perski. Learn from Piotr and other artists as they demonstrate painting techniques, composition ideas, approaches to subjects, lighting and shadows, color mixing, and paint application. You will have the opportunity to work on your own still life compositions with one-on-one discussions and assistance throughout the workshop.
The class objectives include understanding and working with fundamental forms, demonstrating form, proportions, perspective, structure, volume, shadow, intensity, greyscale, rhythm, energy, line poetry, texture and color illusion, and gesture in realistic representations of nature, models, and portraits.

Tutor profile
Piotr Perski
Teacher, Painting and Drawing
Piotr Perski is a Polish painter, settled in Barcelona since 1998. In Barcelona he shows mainly at Galería Jordi Barnadas and Sala Parés.
He holds a BA Fine Art (Adam Mickiewicz, Poznan), an MA Fine Art (Academy of Fine Arts in Lodz) and a PhD, Fine Arts (University of Barcelona).
WORKING SPACE
Students who take the short courses option will be provided with a working space and storage to use throughout their stay on the Metàfora Studio Arts program.
