Class Description
In these workshops, participants are encouraged to engage in a unique artistic process by painting over newspapers and recycled materials, exploring the use of gesture and textures in drawing and painting.
The objective is to establish a connection between the composition and the images found in newspapers, as well as the abstract patterns created through gestural movements. Students will experiment with various textures using unconventional materials and pigments, incorporating body prints and frottage techniques.
They will also have the opportunity to work with organic textures and pigments, while being introduced to the swipe technique in acrylic painting. Additionally, the workshops will involve working with recycled materials, collage, frottage, and a fusion of techniques in creating large-scale paintings.
