LIFE DRAWING WITH PIOTR PERSKI

Every Tuesday the students at Metàfora studio arts program can attend life drawing with Piotr Perski. They get to practice their drawing skills and using different techniques to draw the human body. Every week we have live models that the students work with. It’s a great way for every artist to develop perception of the human form as well as the techniques of drawing real life.

Piotr Perski is one of our in house tutors for the foundation program students, he’s been working at Metàfora since year 2000. He came to Barcelona from Poland with a grant from the Polish Ministry of Art and Ministry of Foreign Affairs from Spain, to do a PhD at the University of Barcelona, Faculty of Fine Arts. He has a Bachelor degree in Fine Arts from the Adam Mickiewicz University in Poznan, Poland, and a Master degree in Fine Arts at Wl. Strzeminski Academy of Fine Arts in Lodz, Poland.

Piotr has been living in Barcelona since 1998, he’s a painter and creates art projects related to urban space and landscapes of the cities from Europe, USA and Asia. Now been teaching for 19 years at Metàfora he has also given several art workshops in the USA: Lincoln Academy, Maine and in American and Polish schools in New York, Long Island, New Jersey and Connecticut. We are so happy to have Piotr teaching the weekly life drawing classes as well as leading other painting and drawing workshops at Metàfora with his knowledge and good energy.
