Basic ARC welding techniques. Cutting, bending and cleaning metal.
The class includes information on security systems for welding.
This workshop deals with the melting and joining process when welding metal. Students practise the starting spark, running a weld bead, cleaning and polishing the joint. In this workshop, students produce a small metal sculpture.
In the theoretical part of the workshop, we examine artist like Jorge Oteiza, Jaume Plensa, Antony Gormley, Richard Serra, Tony Cragg, among others.
