Class description
In his practice, Piotr Perski often works with manipulating textures and diverse materials.
This series of workshops focuse on experimental painting techniques, allowing students to explore the expressive possibilities within this genre.
Participants create both small and large-scale works, gaining a comprehensive understanding of the intricacies involved.
Guided by Perski, students embark on a journey through the captivating history of portrait painting, uncovering the techniques and styles employed by master artists.
By the end of the course, students not only develop their technical skills but also cultivate a deeper appreciation for the artistry and storytelling inherent in portraits.

Teacher, Painting and Drawing
Piotr Perski is a Polish painter, settled in Barcelona since 1998. In Barcelona he shows mainly at Galería Jordi Barnadas and Sala Parés.
He holds a BA Fine Art (Adam Mickiewicz, Poznan), an MA Fine Art (Academy of Fine Arts in Lodz) and a PhD, Fine Arts (University of Barcelona).

Students who take the short courses option will be provided with a working space and storage to use throughout their stay on the Metàfora Studio Arts program.
This workshop is open to all full-time students on the Studio Arts Program. Depending on availability, it is also available as a Pick and Choose workshop.
