This week the students were able to take an extensive two day screen printing workshop with Oriol Texidor. First day consisted of theory and design. The students received knowledge regarding screen printing, techniques, artists working with screen printing and the process. All prepared to start working on their own designs for printing. Second day was for printing. Everyone made their own unique prints in edition of 10.

This week’s Artist and The Art world class with Anna Pahissa, the students visited Salamina art studios in L’Hospitalet. They got to talk to Pere Llobera and Aldo Urbano and see their work and studio space. Very interesting especially for our painters at the studio arts program to talk to these great painters from the Barcelona art scene. The conversations went on and topics like painters comeback in the Barcelona contemporary art scene, were especially interesting as well as hearing them talk about their work. Last week we visited MACBA.
