Thesis Presentations event at MACBA
Metàfora’s graduating 3rd-year students presented their Thesinas (final research projects) at the Museu d’Art Contemporani de Barcelona (MACBA) to an audience of professionals, family members, and external tutors who accompanied each of the five students throughout the evolution of their projects.
The graduates —comprised of Xiayu Zhang (China, 1999), Robin Vuitch (USA, 1997), Varsha Kumar (India, 1993), and Len Ault (Switzerland, 2000)— guided us through the evolution of their respective Thesinas, delving into their methodologies and conclusions.
After this, at 19:30h, the public was invited to join the final TP3 graduates’ show at àngels barcelona – espai 2 (Carrer dels Àngels, 16), curated by Gabriel Luciani. The works presented in the show were considered extensions of their Thesinas.
Both activities were open to the public.
The class of 2024 and corresponding external tutors were:
Len Ault (Switzerland, 2000) – Francesc Ruiz (Barcelona, 1971)
Varsha Kumar (India, 1993) – Noela Covela Velasco (Pontevedra, 1994)
Robin Vuitch (USA, 1997) – Lucía C Pino (València, 1977)
Xiayu Zhang (China, 1999) – Lucía Piedra Galarraga (La Havana, 1972)
